  • Our minimum age requirement for private music lessons is 6 years old. We don't have a maximum age limit and it’s true what they say, you’re never too old to learn!

  • Beginner students will be allocated to our tutors who focus on beginner to intermediate students. A principal tutor may be allocated to a beginner student depending on scheduling and availability, if necessary. Any new advanced students will be directed to a principal tutor.

  • Our principal tutors are highly experienced, qualified and teach their instrument full-time. This means they can allocate more time to lesson preparation as they focus on our intermediate to advanced student base. If you are doing your HSC, studying in tertiary education, exam preparation or are already highly experienced and just want to refine your skills, our principal tutors will be here to assist you.

  • You can! Our music lessons follow the school terms, usually 10 weeks. Students can start at any time during the term and you will only be charged for the remaining lessons of the term.

  • Yes! We understand that it can be challenging to cover a whole term in full and in an attempt to give every member of our community more affordable access to music lessons, we allow our students to break term fees into halves and quarters.

  • Absolutely! As stated in our policies, we have an open-door policy. Anyone is welcome to sit in on the lesson, so long as it is ok with the student.

  • We are currently organising our group lessons and workshops for students, businesses and the greater community. If this is something you’re interested in please register your interest here and we’ll contact you once we have a group ready!

Recording FAQ

  • We have a Spotify playlist which we regularly update with songs which have either been recorded, mixed, mastered or all of the above at Woodriver Studios!

  • Almost everything listed in our gear list is available for use pending communication prior to recording date.

  • Yep! So if you are an engineer yourself or have someone you enjoy working with, then we offer our studio for dry hire. This is priced at $350 per 8hr day and includes use of any studio equipment.

  • Any extra strings or skins required during a session are additional to the initial recording cost. If organised ahead of time, correct strings for your session can be acquired by the studio at a discounted cost and instruments you are looking to use can be set up and prepared for the session. Drum skins are generally kept in good order but if an artist wishes to use different skins on the drum kit then that cost falls onto the artist.

  • Currently we are not an NDIS provider, however, we welcome anyone who has an interest in learning music to reach out.

  • We do! Our gift vouchers are available for all of our services including the studio. Please get in contact with us to purchase.
